I'm sure most of you have seen this somewhere, but I hadnt. So I'm going to post it in the hopes that someone who hasnt seen it WILL see it.
Its a little printable book about a little boy with Spina Bifida. Toby's been questioning a little and knows things are different. I am thinking about printing this up and then even making him a little doggie with the scars like in the book.

I have never seen this before. I love the idea of sewing the spots where Madilyn has had surgery. She always asks about her back. I took a picture of her stomach when she had bowel surgery to show her because she asked me to. Thanks so much for sharing this today. At our house, Madilyn is out of her wheelchair but she deals with the pull up issues and how difficult it is to ask for help with the bathroom at school. Thanks again for posting this!
No I hadn't seen it! So cute! Thank you for posting. :)
I love this book. One of my favorite things about it is how the little boy models so many self-sufficient things. He brushes his teeth, puts his own pajamas on, plays the violin, takes the bus, even changes his own diapers. He is a great character. I like the interactive things on the website as well. There is also more information for parents and kids on living with SB. You can find the site at: www.myspinabifidabook.org
By the way, I love this website. I am really enjoying connecting with other families and getting new ideas.
